Forfocséic: Irish-Americana Rock

One of the last things I did before the COVID-19 pandemic hit was perform a St. Patrick’s Day solo set at Liquid State Brewery in Ithaca, New York. Every March for the next few years, I released a new album of Irish folk cover songs — a themed series called Forfocséic, named for the Gaelicized slang version of a common English utterance in many Irish and Irish-American homes. (Say it loud; you’ll figure it out.)

Since then, Forfocséic has bloomed into a seasonal live music project. In 2023, I celebrated St. Patrick’s Day as the featured musical artist at the Sam Adams Brewery; in 2024, I recruited the rhythm section from the Roland High Life to accompany me for an even bigger blowout at the Aeronaut Brewery in Somerville.

Our 2025 plans have blossomed into a full-blown mini tour of Boston-area breweries:
